Supporting Angry Families DVD
Grief research and literature identify that anger is a normal, healthy response to loss. Yet, many healthcare providers are unprepared and lack the skills to effectively deal with the anger of patients and families. Mismanaged anger can actually escalate an individual’s feelings and lead to violence. Supporting Angry Families reviews the causes of anger in those who are grieving, common responses of healthcare providers to expressions of anger, and interventions for supporting and facilitating anger in grief. 50 minutes.
Grief After a Son's Suicide DVD
Suicide and mental health disorders continue to be stigmatized by society, diminishing support for families whose loved one dies in this manner. This webinar is formatted in a conversational setting with Dr. Rana Limbo and bereaved parents Tim Petersen and Kae Creech. The couple openly discusses their son Luke’s life and death, their grieving styles, spirituality, and coping mechanisms. Their willingness to describe the circumstances of their son’s death and prior to that, his hospitalization for depression, bring those who listen to a point of deeper understanding.
Provider Presentation: Pediatric and Adult Death

Presenters have the option to adapt the notes as needed for their specific hospital setting.
