Preshand Inserts are for use with when an infant loss occurs of any gestational age (up to 12 Lbs. or 20"). These Inserts are made of Soft Yellow Hand-crafted Paper with a Lavender Ribbon tie. Inserts provide a place to securely lay the infant for viewing, transport, and Morgue/Pathology/Funeral Home storage. The bottom half of the Insert has an impermeable layer that helps maintain integrity and retains fluids. The Insert contains the infant safely, allowing the re-usable Presentation Basket and Nesting Filler to remain untouched by the Infant.

The Insert also allows for dignified and discreet transport of the little one, as it fits inside one of two available sizes of Handling Carriers. Any time the baby is moved, the caregiver or mortician handles the Insert, and the baby is safely enclosed. The Insert is beautifully crafted and is appropriate for display at a memorial service, and can then be used for cremation (as it is combustible) or for burial. (Most states require that a vault be used to put the Insert into for burial.) Very significantly, the Insert can become the final resting place for the infant; it can provide a substantial financial savings to the family by avoiding the purchase of a casket. This is how you can further help the family.

The Inserts provide a convenient method of storing the infant. They are stackable for space efficiency, and the end ID label makes it easy to later retrieve the baby for transport to the mortuary, or if the family wishes to revisit the infant.

The included "Little One" verse is intended to provide validation and closure to the caregiver. A difficult job has been completed, and it is acknowledged. This is for you.
