Ectopic Pregnancy
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg implants somewhere other than in the uterus. Most often it implants in one of the fallopian tubes, which cannot support the growing embryo. Using illustrations and parents' stories, this brochure explains the complex issues involved with ectopic pregnancy, including the medical diagnosis and treatment decisions, loss of the pregnancy, and possible effects on future fertility.
